The Motherhood Project is a personal research project by Salomé van Leuven, exploring the realities of being a mother in the UK.

This film covers the Motherhood Penalty (a systemic disadvantage women face when becoming pregnant and giving birth, impacting their salaries, career prospects, and confidence) and the Childcare Crisis (the UK has one of the most expensive childcare systems in the world, ultimately resulting in 1 in 4 women being forced to leave the workplace due to soaring childcare costs).
