Video-014 / Streekbus Nederland-1, NZH-serie 2000 2003

Eind jaren zestig werd in Nederland een standaardbus ontwikkeld, die tot eind jaren tachtig het beeld van het streekvervoer in Nederland bepaalde. De eerste bussen op basis van een Leyland LOB-chassis met een standaard carrosserie van Den Oudsten kwamen in 1969 in gebruik voor busbedrijf NACO.
De bussen met de nummers 2000-2003 - de nummerreeks vanaf 2000 was gereserveerd voor de Leyland LOB-Den Oudsten bussen - waren semi-toerbussen die zowel in de lijndienst als in toeristische diensten konden worden ingezet. Uiterlijke kenmerken hiervan waren de uitstapdeur achter de achteras en de oorspronkelijke kleurstelling in blauw/grijs.
Tot deze toeristische diensten behoorden onder meer de “Marken Express”, een busdienst tussen Amsterdam en het voormalige eiland Marken in het IJsselmeer. In de lijndienst werden ze vrijwel uitsluitend ingezet op de lijnen in het gebied “Waterland” ten noorden van Amsterdam en kwamen vandaar regelmatig naar Amsterdam of Alkmaar.
Op 1 juli 1972 werd het bedrijf NACO overgenomen door de busmaatschappij NZH. In het gebruik van de bussen in de regio Waterland veranderde er niets, al kregen de bussen vrij snel de gele verf die gebruikelijk was in het openbaar vervoer in Nederland. In 1984 werden de bussen buiten gebruik gesteld en gesloopt.

At the end of the 1960s, a standard bus was developed in the Netherlands, which shaped the image of public transport in the Netherlands until the late 1980s. The first buses based on a Leyland LOB chassis with a standard body from Den Oudsten came into operation in 1969 for the bus company NACO. The buses with the numbers 2000-2003 - the number series from 2000 were reserved for the Leyland LOB-Den Oudsten buses - were semi-toer buses that could be used in both regular and occasional services. The external features of this were the exit door located behind the rear axle and the initial color scheme in blue/gray. These occasional services included operations on the “Marken Express”, a tourist bus service between Amsterdam and the former island of Marken in the IJsselmeer. In regular service they were used almost exclusively on the lines in the "Waterland" area north of Amsterdam and regularly came from there to Amsterdam or Alkmaar.
On July 1, 1972, the NACO company was taken over by the bus company NZH. There were no changes to the use of these buses in the Waterland region, but the buses soon received the yellow paint that is common in public transport in the Netherlands. In 1984 the buses were decommissioned and scrapped.
