Hyundai Elantra 2018 Rack Pinion problems on driver side is described as general problem for Hyundai Models. It is under hyundai warranty in 100k km.
My problem appear after 180k driving and Hyundai refused to fix it free. Main reason for the problem described as tear on plastic part caused water intake which turned rust all mechanism.

It is not a safety issue but sound is very disturbing, any small crak or jump making noise also turning getting noisy.

Hyundai price for the part 534C$ for north america
After market price 280C$ not suggested.
Used price varies 120USD TO 300USD depending km on it condition.

My cost was
286$ rack pinion used part
300$ mechanic
120 Alignment (have to do it)

total 700$ aprx.

Hyundai elantra official service cost around 2000$
My mechanic asked 1500$
A different mechanic asked 1100$
A friend of mine suggested me the mechanic where it is fixed charged 700$ with 60 days warranty for the part.
