This fun youth basketball drill called "Build It Bob" is a fun basketball skills game for beginners.

Also known as construction, this is a competitive basketball dribbling and shooting game for kids.

You can modify the game as you see fit with different shot types and dribbles.

This youth basketball practice drill helps teach ball control, speed dribbling and shot technique.

BASKETBALL SKILL ACQUISITION

Offensive Skills: Dribbling, Layups, Crossovers, Shot Technique, Dexterity

Defensive skills: Teamwork, Strategy

BASKETBALL DRILL PURPOSE
To help develop ball handling skills and dexterity as well as different shot techniques. You may change the dribble type, add crossovers and change shot locations and types (runners, floaters, reverse layups etc)

EQUIPMENT NEEDED
Recommended minimum 6 participants (2 x teams of 3)
1 basketball ball per team
1 basketball ring and a half court.

HOW TO PLAY (Watch video)

VARIATION:
For older kids increase the range, make the construction more challenging. For fitness put the construction site further away. To challenge teams, give them a time limit in which to complete the construction.
