Plane Carrying Manipur CM N Biren Singh Escape Major Air Tragedy At Imphal Airport

A major aerial tragedy, involving the Chief Minister of Manipur, was averted today at the Bir Tikendrajit International Airport in Imphal.

Chief Minister N. Biren Singh had a close shave while returning from the national capital today. The Indigo flight 6E 5118, carrying the Chief Minister and 3 MLAs including MPCC President K. Meghachandra, Kh. Ibomcha, and Keba along with numerous civilians, encountered issues during landing.

The flight was scheduled to land at 1:45 PM but faced technical difficulties on its first approach, forcing it to take off again. The aircraft remained airborne for an additional 12 to 15 minutes before successfully landing on its second attempt.
