Follow me as we go back to the not great days of the Golden Age of comics, a wild west of stories and heroes being introduced, some like Batman or Wonder Woman who've become figures of real world society, or others like Green Arrow or Aquaman, well known comic characters who were introduced early on although didn't get to shine until the Silver Age.
A lot of the older heroes are turned into Legacy heroes, either for the Justice Society Of America or the Freedom Fighters, but there's a few solo heroes such as.... Quicksilver! An original character from Quality Comics from National Comics, which was an anthology series of MANY characters, most of whom didn't survive past the Golden Age.
Quicksilver seemed to have nearly been one of those who didn't, only to be brought back the in 90s renamed to Max Mercury and treated with more respect as a character than ever before.
