LANGO REIGNING LEADERSHIP SETS CONDITIONS FOR DIALOGUE

On Saturday, the Owitong subscribing to the Lango Cultural Foundation accompanied Fredrick Ogwal Oyee, the Awitong of Inomo clan in Boke ward, Lira City West Division, during his “Meet the People” tour.
Some of these Owitong were invited on Friday by Willy Omodo, the speaker of the Lango Cultural Institution, for a special reconciliatory Council meeting, which they snubbed.

Fred Ogwal Oyee mentioned that an accused cannot invite the complainant for reconciliation at his home.
The current dispute was triggered by the March 2024 election of Eng. Dr. Michael Moses Odongo Okune as the new paramount chief. Yosam Odur’s term ends in November.
