Final Fantasy VI Advance - Ch. 43 - Final Battle & Ending

The Final Battle begins now! We approach Kefka, sitting a top his tower, looking down on the rest of the world like a god. Of course, we can't just fight, there's gotta be an exchange of repartee first. Kefka doesn't understand why we're fighting him. He thinks life is pointless because eventually everyone dies, which makes their lives ultimately pointless. But our heroes say that's not true! Everyone has a reason for living while they're alive, so that in itself makes life not pointless. Kefka then wants to destroy everyone's reason for living, by killing everyone and creating a new empire... of death!

FINAL BATTLE

You'll have to face three tiers of bosses before reaching Kefka. Some of them have multiple enemies, however none of them have more than 41,000 HP. So just keep hammering them with Ultimas, Phantom Rush, Chainsaw, etc. In this final battle, you'll be allowed to use all 12 character you brought with you to Kefka's Tower. You'll create a roster for your starting team and the replacement order for the other eight. When one character KOs and stays that way long enough, the next player on your roster will fill in.

I was able to get to Kefka without losing any of my starters. Kefka has 62,000 HP, which is nothing we can't handle. However, he'll do a move called 'Heatless Angel' which will reduce the whole team to 1 HP. No worries, because we found a 'Megalixir' in the tower not too long ago. Go ahead and use it, to refill everyone HP (and also MP!). In a few turns, Kefka will be toast and then it's time to sit back and enjoy the ending!

After the credits, it will give you the option to save the game, that way you can go back and beat the 'Dragon's Den', an extra dungeon available in the GBA version of this game. It's tough! You'll face stronger versions of the eight legendary dragons and receive the best weapons for some of your characters. It's the only thing left for me to do to get this walkthrough to 100%, so I'll definitely have to do it. But for now, let me just enjoy this very satisfying ending...
