Retinal Detachment an interesting journey!

Описание к видео Retinal Detachment an interesting journey!

This situation began on October 20, 2024 I started to have these little black floaters in my eyes that I’ve never had before. Then my blood pressure seem to go up for no reason. By Friday, October 25th, I decided to see my primary doctor, my blood pressure went down, but of course there wasn’t anything he could do about my eye, he recommended an eye doctor.
I went in on Monday, October 28th and they told me the usual…your getting older (like that’s the answer to everything) and you have dry eye in your right eye, they gave me drops and sent me on my way.
Well…7 days later Monday, November 4th half of my bottom right eye went black. Like black water was filling my eye from the bottom. I figured it was maybe dry eye still…until Wednesday, November 6th, 3/4 of my eye went black and I couldn’t see anything.
I called my eye doctor and they rushed me back in…then things got serious…they took extensive test and then they scared me to death (doctor had no bed side manner) the doctor said, “Well you have retina detachment, the floaters were probably the beginning phase, you probably had a tear and then a detachment…you will need immediate surgery or may not see again!”
I was like, “What”?
Thank God I have a friend in eye care that was able to explain what happened.
I went to Georgia Retina and they scheduled me for surgery, Tuesday, November 12th!
Crazy situation, just thought I’d share and let you know that it’s going to be ok if this happens to you!
