All over the country, congregations large and small face similar challenges, but must work separately to meet their own needs. The Goldring/Woldenberg Institute of Southern Jewish Life was created in direct response to this problem as we created a regional approach to address these challenges. The ISJL is dedicated to enriching Jewish life, preserving our rich legacy and ensuring a bright future for our southern region. We were told at the beginning that this was an impossible dream with too large a scope. This year, we are proudly celebrating our 10th anniversary.

In this video, youll have a brief glimpse into the exciting work and array of programs happening every day at the ISJL. The ISJL does not just create these programs; we bring them directly to our partnering congregations. By delivering services and programs to underserved enclaves as well as large cities, the ISJL makes it possible to live a rich and vibrant Jewish life anywhere in our 13 state Southern region. Site visits featured in this video include Pensacola, Florida, Jackson, Mississippi, Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Dothan, Alabama, Atlanta, Georgia, and Bowling Green, Kentucky. The ISJL is grateful to all our partners who help make this vision a reality.
