This marvelous Suhr Modern has a beautiful white finish with maple binding, and it sounds even classier than it looks! The bridge 'bucker puts out tight, muscular lows to go with sweet, bell-like blooming trebles. There's also a cool vocal resonance in the upper-midrange that reminds me of Tony Iommi's cocked wah tone when played through a dirty, although this Suhr's mids are more erudite than brawny.

THe middle pickup is well-balanced, though it does have little bit of extra snarl and bite in the mids. The trebles are jangly and sparkly, and the lows are surprisingly beefy.

The neck pickup is warm and deep, but it has a dry, vintage-style resonance that produces very few overtones until you get up into the highs and upper mids. This means it can handle lots of gain while maintaining clarity, though its woody, round tone translates nicely through a clean amp, too!

Anyone seeking an HSH guitar with ten thousand style points and a vintage-style voice will love this versatile Suhr!
