Hornby Dublo running session with the Deltic

Описание к видео Hornby Dublo running session with the Deltic

In this upload I'm showcasing the Hornby Dublo 'Deltic' along with the '8F', A4 'Golden Fleece' and 'N2' all hauling Hornby Dublo rolling stock. 'Crepello' was a very tired looking specimen with accumulated dust and dirt layered engrained in the diecast body and chipped paintwork throughout. Do I strip it to the bare metal or clean and touch up? It was a close call. I plumped for the latter as the green was still largely intact. The windows at the motor end were filthy. Once I had cleaned the body work using a toothbrush, I repainted the lime green 'skirt' and cab area and touched up parts of green and roof sections. The bo(co?)gies had their axle boxes painted yellow. The frontal 'nose' had the yellow warning panel repainted along with the train code panel highlighted. I disliked the odd cut out at the bottom of the nose so I placed a piece of plastic painted red behind the gap. New BR totems replaced the faded originals. The model came with a a replica Cooper box so the model now looks very respectable again.

Thank you for watching.
