The SRB-100DR is a safety controller that features a double reset function.

In large work areas where an operator has walk-in access to a potentially hazardous condition, special measures must be taken to prevent an unsafe restart. In such cases an operator may not have full view of the work area and cannot as confidently declare a safe state from standing outside the walk-in area. To complement presence sensing devices such as laser scanners and safety mats, safety controllers with a double reset module can be used. This feature is utilized by having an operator begin the resetting procedure by first actuating a reset button located inside the walk-in area. After leaving this area and having the presence sensing devices cleared or reengaging a safety interlock, actuating the second reset button outside the walk-in area within a predetermined time is required to restart an operation.

This sequential and time based procedure helps prevents the starting of a machine based on visual inspection alone near a reset button located away from the view of potential hazards
