Welcome back to RBR, everyone! It’s Raz here, and today we’re diving into a project that's all about transforming my pride and joy—the #Porsche #GT3 Touring—into a family-friendly, everyday #supercar. Yep, that’s right; we're turning this 2-seater track weapon into a car that can handle school runs, grocery trips, and family adventures, all without losing the pure GT3 essence. And I’ll even show you 3 awesome options to help you do the same!

GT3 as a Daily Driver? Let's Find Out!

The GT3 is arguably one of the most beloved track-focused sports cars around, and I love mind so much I almost sleep in it. From runs to the store to spirited drives to clear the head — it's a car that begs to be driven hard. But let's face it, when you’re a family man, even the best sports cars have their limitations. For a 2+2 family like mine, a car like the GT3 often sits in the garage more than on the road, and that’s a shame for a car meant to be driven! The sad fact is, we end up selling cars like these because of this reason too. In this video, I’ll take you through my journey of making the GT3 more practical while keeping all the things that make it such a joy to drive. And to do that, we’ll look at three ways to add rear seating without compromising its track-focused personality.

When I first got my GT3 Touring, I had one goal in mind: add back seats! I’d seen life with a 911 work before in my 992 GTS, where I proved how the space inside the RWD version made it a viable family car. But doing it on the GT3 is a whole different game. That’s when I came across GT3 Belts and their awesome solutions to bring back those missing seats.

I’ll address concerns over homogulation, insurance, MOT etc in the video too. Rest assured, it is also a reversible process which is important! AND it’s a white glove installation service, GT3belts travel around the world installing this for us themselves!

All the Mods

Before jumping into the rear seat transformation, I’ve made a few tweaks to make my GT3 even more special. Seat centres got some love, with a new Houndstooth/pepita pattern with green details. This really increased the classic feel and heritage look of the project.

Then the paddles were upgraded— to the epic magnetic paddles found in the GT3 RS 992. This is an easy but effective mod, and can be done on all 992 from my understanding. So, small but impactful changes.

But the main event is the rear seating options, and I'll walk you through those three different approaches to see what works best for turning this track beast into a family-friendly daily driver.

We have 3 ways, first is the “Stealth” option at around 3k, this is almost invisible but gets the job done! And decently priced at around £3k. The next is what I’ve done: a fully bespoke seat matching my Sonderwunsch unique spec. This is over £6k, but then is the highest quality for your GT3/Dakar/GT3 RS!

Then we have our special “RBR edition seats” - which give you the form and fit of the “top end version” but for a subsidised price! Only available in black. See all the options on the link below:

If you want to get this done and get a discount too, here’s a dedicated email to get in touch: [email protected]

We’ll dive into pricing, the process of the full transformation, and finally, the result: the kid’s reaction and how well they fit in! Oh and I’ll try and squeeze in too before we go for a drive! Spoiler alert: there’s gonna be a lot of fun reactions, and of course, some lovely NA noise! :)
