Aussie Racing Cars Classis - Final Race, Morgan Park 2010

The final race of the 2010 season, an epic battle. Kyle Clews (orange / blue car) held a slender 2 point championship series lead. I needed to finish 2 places ahead, and I would win back-to-back championships on count back. The field boasted MA Qinghua, who rose to become China's first F1 driver two years later, Drift Champ Beau Yates, Ben Grice (son of Bathurst 1000 winner Allan) and V8Supercar star Jack Perkins.
Perkins lead early (red / white car) with a great opening lap before a safety car period bought the field together. On the re-start I got the jump, Perkins 2nd, Clews 3rd. Perfect.... wave the checker!! However, the category manager extended the race by 2 laps, as we weren't time restricted at a V8Supercar event. So with 2 laps to go, things were set. I was 1st, Clewsy 3rd - Job should have been done. ...but I had a massive noise in the diff, losing power & I was praying!!!!
