SAREK NATIONAL PARK - From Ruohtesvágge to Álggavágge through the Ruohtes massif and Násasvágge

Filmed 23-31 July 2023. The film describes a loop-shaped trek in northwestern Sarek that started in Änonjálmme and ended at Akkastugorna. First day along Padjelantaleden to Treparksmötet where the borders of the national parks Stora Sjöfallet, Sarek and Padjelanta meet at the confluence of the streams Sjpietjavjåhkå and Sjnjuvtjudisjåhkå. The trek continued on the path along Sjnjuvtjudisjåhkå to Niják and then through northern Ruohtesvágge to Ruohtesvárásj. Then through the Ruohtes massif over the pass at an altitude of 1290 meters south of peak 1504 and the valley south of Skájdásjtjåhkkå to Guohpervágge. Thereafter trekking along Guohperjåhkå which was forded just under two kilometers upstream of the inflow of the stream from Násasvágge. The trek continued on the southern side of Guohpervágge to the eastern mouth of Násasvágge high up in the valley side. Then south of Násasjávrre to Lánjekbuollda and the ford over Gájnájjågåsj down by Miellädno. Thereafter through Álggavágge, eastern Guohpervágge and southern Ruohtesvágge to Boajsájågåsj. The trek continued through the valley south and west of Boajsátjåhkkå along Boajsájávrásj´s lakeside to the valley's western mouth above Oarjep Ruohtesjiegna. Descent to Ruohtesvágge in the direction of the ford over Smájllájåhkå north of Boajsátjåhkkå. Then along the path east of Ruohtesvárásj which continues west of Nijákjågåsj and south of Sjnjuvtjudisjåhkå to Treparksmötet. From there along Padjelantaleden to Akkastugorna, where the trek ended.
