Sobat Recipe ( ثوبت) from Waziristan | Painda Traditional Dish | Chicken Sobat Penda Recipe


Penda / Sohbat , is a traditional dish consisting of pieces of posthi ( a thin bread ) dipped in a meat soup , typically served with raita and salad. The dish shares similarities with the Arabic dish Tharid and is commonly consumed in southern pakhtunkhuwa districts of bannu, lakri marwat, karak, and Dera Ismail Khan .

Ingredients ;

2 kg chicken
It’s best to use desi chicken like aseel , mutton or beef
Oil 1 cup
1 bulb Garlic paste
4 green chillis chopped
6 tomatoes puree
2 tsp salt
1 tbsp tomato Paste
1 cup yogurt
4 tbsp sobat masala
Or you can add 2 tbsp coriander powder + 2 tbsp red chilli powder + 1 tbsp cumin powder + 1 tsp Haldi dry plum…. Or even you can use chicken salan lmasala powder
2 tbsp garam masla powder
1 bunch of fresh Corainder leaves chopped

For green chatni,

Fresh Coriander leaves
Mint Leave
Green chillis
Tomato
Garlic clove
Salt
Pomegranate powder

For Salad
Onions , cabbage, tomato , cucumber, salt and sumac powder
