Fresh security concerns are emerging from Kogi State following a series of coordinated attacks and abductions across communities in Okun land. More than twenty worshippers were taken after gunmen stormed a church service in Ayetoro Kiri, Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area, firing shots and escaping through nearby bush paths. Hours later, four farmers were also abducted along a rural route in Ejiba, Yagba West Local Government Area, deepening fears over safety in churches and farmlands. With residents gripped by panic, questions are mounting over how the attackers operated and what is being done to prevent further incidents. Joining us live, Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo, addresses what authorities know so far, the immediate security response, and the assurances being offered to affected communities.
