Introducing the epitome of automotive excellence: the 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback Restomod. This iconic American muscle car has been meticulously transformed into a modern masterpiece, blending the classic style of the '67 Mustang with cutting-edge performance and handling upgrades.
Under the hood, you'll find the heart of this beast: a Gen 3 Coyote 5.0L crate engine from Ford Performance. This powerhouse is not only a marvel of engineering but also seamlessly integrated with a Ford Performance Engine Management System, which includes an ECU, drive-by-wire pedal, and a custom harness. The result is a symphony of power and precision that propels the Mustang to new heights of performance.
To optimize exhaust flow and enhance the Coyote's growl, this Pro Touring Mustang features Doug's Headers with a ceramic-coated finish paired to Flowmaster Mufflers. Keeping temperatures in check is the Be-Cool custom aluminum radiator, complete with dual electric fans. Braided fuel lines snake their way from the front to the rear of the vehicle, ensuring a constant and reliable fuel supply, while the EFI-prepped factory-type fuel tank houses the electric fuel pump.
Power is transferred to the rear wheels through a Tremec TKO 600 5-speed manual transmission, controlled by a Hurst Competition Plus shifter. The clutch setup consists of a Centerforce clutch assembly and a blow-proof SFI approved bellhousing, a custom aluminum driveshaft ensures efficient power transfer. A Ford 9" rear axle with a 3.55 gear ratio and a locking differential promises jaw-dropping acceleration. The nodular iron 3rd member adds durability to this already formidable setup. To bring this performance machine to a halt with confidence, SSBC 4-wheel disc brakes have been installed.
The chassis has been transformed with Rod & Custom Motorsports' tubular front k-member, tubular upper and lower front a-arms, and a power rack and pinion steering system. High-performance front and rear sway bars, along with adjustable front coil-over shocks and rear multi-leaf leaf springs, work together to deliver exceptional handling and cornering capabilities. Calvert adjustable rear shocks and traction bars provide multiple ride adjustment settings.
In terms of aesthetics and comfort, the interior of this Pro Touring Mustang has been treated to a complete makeover. The font buckets and the rear seats have been refurbished with new springs, foam, and covers. An Ididit steel steering column features a billet/leather custom steering wheel, adding a touch of modern style to the classic interior.
New carpet, headliner, and interior trim panels ensure a fresh and inviting cabin space. The Dakota Digital Dash cluster and gauges provide vital information in a sleek, modern package. Stainless and chrome accents, including exterior trim, bumpers, and door handles, gleam in the sunlight, giving this Mustang an undeniably luxurious finish. The black exterior paint is nothing short of breathtaking, with a mirror-like shine that accentuates the Mustang's timeless design. A new front grille with period-correct center-mounted driving lamps pays homage to its heritage.
To complete the picture, this Pro Touring '67 Ford Mustang sits on 17x7 front Shelby Wheels with spinners, wrapped in 245/45/17 Nitto 555 tires. The rear boasts 17x8 Shelby Wheels with spinners and grippy 275/40/17 Nitto 555R tires, ensuring that all that power meets the pavement with precision.
