A new addition to my indoor garden, I attempted to grow peas and I’m glad I tried.
Turns out, peas can grow indoors with the help of a good lighting such as the Vivosun VS2000 grow light.

ALL ABOUT SPACING:
I went with a dwarf variety of peas and grew them in a 10” pot. I planted about 4 just to see how much room I needed. I used a string trellis and trained the plant so that it doesn’t take up too much room. When it reaches the top, I start to prune and new stems grow on the bottom.

POLLINATING:
Peas are fairly easy to pollinate, a slight movement or air is more than enough to get the pollen into the right spot. Both male and female parts are present in a single flower. After harvest, the plant continues to grow and produce new pods.

Peas are a lot of fun to grow indoors and it’s wonderful to see the flowers in the middle of winter, add this to your list the next time you’re growing food indoors.
