Animal Crossing Gamecube: Fishing Tournament and more

First of all, I decided to bring the Blue/Red Puffy Vests from my other town, East L.A, so I could wear them solely for the Fishing Tournament. They do not appear in your catalog, so there's nothing to worry about with cheating.

The first part of the video is me showing my new house I made a month ago. It's my favorite house layout so far.

Now onto the fishing tourney info:

Every Sunday during the months of June and November, Chip holds a Fishing Tournament at the Lake. The tourney lasts from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The only fish allowed in the tournament are Bass. The bigger the bass the better. For each Bass you catch that's bigger than the last, Chip will give you another common item. If you want a lot of items, the best strategy is to start out with catching Bass, (Chip doesn't reward you for Small Bass) and once you reach 18 or 19 inches for a Bass, switch to only Large Bass. The height order goes like this:

Small Bass: 6 in. - 11 in.
Bass: 11 in. - 19 in.
Large Bass: 19 in. - 27 in.

Once you reach 24 inches, you're almost guaranteed the win. However, I have seen a villager catch a 27 inch fish before. In which case, there's nothing much you can do except try to catch one yourself before the villager does.

The trick to the Fishing Tournament is to get up as early as possible because Large Bass are abundant in the 6:00 a.m. hours. Then run around the river acres scaring off any fish the wrong size. Then release any fish that isn't a Bass/Large Bass except maybe the valuable fish.

Another strategy is to catch a bunch of Large Bass days in advance and save them in your house. Then you don't have to worry about running out of time. However, this ruins the fun of the fishing tournament in my opinion.

Another strategy is to instead of talking to Chip every time you catch a Large Bass, just fill up your inventory with Bass/Large Bass and talk to him in one large group. Your choice.

If you win the tourney, come back any time after 6:00 p.m. the same day and you'll get a letter from him in the mail containing a Crazy Redd or Lottery item you don't already own in your catalog!

Notes: I got incredibly lucky with getting sequential sized Bass in the tourney. I've never been that lucky before.

I've only caught a 27 inched Bass once before in my life and that was last weekend despite doing this tournament for years.
