Modern Classical Guitar build: bevel cutaway and armrest

Описание к видео Modern Classical Guitar build: bevel cutaway and armrest

No music, no talk, just the craft and its sounds.

This is the body of my guitar #09, 'Nova', which I have decided to make as a prototype "Modern Classical", i.e. a classical nylon-strung guitar with 'modern' features: a slightly curved fingerboard, an arm-bevel, a cutaway, bevel and with our newly designed Lamella Bracing. Spruce Soundboard over Khaya Mahogany back and sides.

The whole idea about 'modern', 'fusion', 'neo', etc, classical nylon strung guitars revolves around having the classical sound with 'modern' playability, including especially ergonomic features. For this I have decided to give a go with bevels: for the armrest, cutaway, and all around the body. This approach is aesthetically subtle, not changing much the outline of a classical guitar's body, but it goes a long way toward providing more comfort for the right arm and access to the higher registers.

Overall, this experiment was very challenging. Much more than I anticipated, but I am pleased with the results and looking forward to including such features in future builds.
