At just six years old, Gary became a member of MENSA, an international society for people who score in the top 2% of the general population on a standardized intelligence (IQ) test. The name "mensa" is Latin for "table" and is meant to evoke the idea of a monthly meeting of great minds around a table, symbolizing a round-table society where all members sit as equals, regardless of their background, profession, or any other characteristic. The society was founded in Oxford, England in 1946.

Gary shares his thoughts about 3D printing: "Children should use 3D printers because it is easy and fun. I have a Bambu Lab 3D Printer. I want to be an engineer when I grow up. I can code in Scratch and Python. Math is my favorite subject at School. It's complicated but it can make life easier. My favorite thing I made is this axe, I designed it in Tinkercard. I think it's good to have a 3D printer. You can make toys, you can make tools.... you can print literally anything."
