Max Bite - Milwaukee Tool works to innovate every tool they release and their combination wrench sets are proof.  These wrenches are aimed at professional trades and mechanics being available in 7pc and 15pc metric and standard sets.  All of these wrenches have an anti-slip MAX BITE open-ended grip, as well as an I-Beam handle design with a fully polished chrome finish.  The stamped labels on each of the wrenches are ink-filled, with SAE being red and Metric being black.  The 7pc set comes in a portable, locking storage tray and the 15pc set comes with a storage tray that’s designed for long-term storage.

Everyone who used wrenches often has a preference for the design they like.  Some like larger handles, some like a slim handle, but what has never really changed is how the wrench slips on and off the bolt on the open end.  The new Max Bite from Milwaukee Tool changes the smooth interior of the open end and gave it a few edges to help grab the nut or bolt.  There is no doubt that the Max Bite works as you can see us pulling around our welding table in our YouTube video.  But on the other side, this Max Bite can slightly slow one down when trying to quickly slide the wrench off a rusted nut or bolt.  Is it that big of a deal?  Well, that is going to depend on how picky you are with your wrenches.

There is no doubt that the design does what Milwaukee claims.  There is a lot more confidence in high torque situations using the Max Bite combination wrench, even though the open end of the wrench is normally not the end used in those situations.  This is a step forward for combination wrenches, especially for users who find they must use the open end more often than not.  In my opinion, the Milwaukee Max Bite is awesome, but it will be a toll added to my wrench set, not replacing my current combination wrenches.
