The HHVBP CY 2024 Annual Performance Report Webinar

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) hosted a webinar to educate home health providers about their first Annual Performance Report (APR) for the expanded HHVBP Model which will be released in late August 2024. The report will be available to home health agencies (HHAs) with a Medicare certification date prior to January 1, 2022, and with sufficient data to generate a Total Performance Score (TPS). A discussion of the contents of the CY 2024 APR was provided, how to interpret the report, and the applicable quality measure results based on CY 2023 performance data and benchmarks. The webinar also covered the improvement thresholds, the TPS, and the payment adjustment applied in CY 2025 (payment year). Additionally, the appeals process was described to help HHAs understand how they can submit a request for a recalculation of the annual TPS and payment adjustment and reconsideration decisions in their APR if they believe there is an error.
