Spotlight Series: Teahouse Island with Ben Chu

Описание к видео Spotlight Series: Teahouse Island with Ben Chu

Teahouse Island sits at the heart of the Seiwa-en, the Japanese Garden at the Missouri Botanical Garden. The island is normally closed to visitors, to help protect the crafted landscape and the farm-hut style teahouse at its center. Horticulture Supervisor Ben Chu gives us a tour of the island, details the history and construction of the teahouse, and provides a glimpse of what an official tea ceremony would be like.

For those wishing to tour Teahouse Island in person, the space is typically open for limited tours during the Garden's annual Japanese Festival.
