Luxurious arches and a double height ceiling are defining features of this home

Mel Orteza-Sorra and her husband Jethro Sorra updated her childhood home to reflect more of the couple's personalities and their lifestyle now. They have worked with 50/53 Architects to realize the space and couldn't be happier.

Arches line one wall while the ceiling in the living area soars with large windows facing east, flooding the space with invigorating natural light in the morning. An Eames Lounge chair becomes the most coveted seat in the house for its comfort and perfect position to watch television. A cyanotype by Neal Oshima, a portrait of Apu Whang Od by Artu Nepomuceno and other artwork by contemporary Filipino artists adorn the walls.
