The 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals at half-time

Описание к видео The 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals at half-time

A plan for a better and more just world – by adopting the 2030 Agenda, the United Nations member states unanimously approved the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. The SDGs lay down what we need to do by 2030 in order to enable all people to live a life of dignity in an intact environment. The SDGs apply to all countries, enterprises, academia, and civil society. At the halfway mark, the record is sobering. If we continue at the current pace, none of the 17 Goals will be fully reached by 2030. Wars, pandemics, global warming and lack of political commitment are slowing the process down and leading to growing social inequality. We can only get back on track if we take quick and determined action now.
