Caste in a european social construction that has no parallel in Dharmic Society. Caste is definitely NOT equivalent to Varna or Jatti. Varna is the qualities that defines your as a person. Many factors determine your qualities. Jatti is your occupation and the closest medieval social construct is guilds. Modern social constructs are colleges or associations such as college of social workers, colleges of physicians, certified public accountants. These modern social construct operates in the same manner like the Jatti system before it was coopted and corrupted by christian missionaries whose purpose was to convert Hindu through deceptive means.
