Thames Valley Police is today (23/4) releasing CCTV footage in connection with an assault in Oxford.

At around 1.05am on Saturday 31 January, the victim, a 36-year-old man, became involved in an altercation with another man in Maxwell’s Bar in Queen Street.

The offender assaulted the victim, causing the victim to fall down the stairs in the premises.

He sustained a serious injury to his shoulder and was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital for treatment.

He has since been discharged.

Police would like to speak to the man shown in the CCTV footage as he may have information which can help with the investigation.
