This is a fun and easy recipe with 2 ingredients, bacon, and water. The water seemed strange to me initially, but I was afraid of burning the bacon. What better than to just let the water evaporate around all of that bacon and the only way to burn it is at the end if you don't keep an eye on it.
Take 1 or 2 pounds of bacon that are partially frozen and slice or cut it into small pieces. Put it into a cold pan along with 2-3 cups of water. Turn the burner to medium-high, bring to a boil, then lower the heat to simmer until the water is about fully evaporated from the pan stirring to scrape the bottom and assure you don't burn the bacon. At this point, lower the heat to medium heat to "fry" it. When you see froth and bubbles in the pan, it means it is about done. When you are at the crunchy point of your bacon, set the pan to the side to slightly cool and then strain out the grease (for later use) and dry on paper towels.
