Heritage steam run WP-7161 "Akbar" at Shahabad Mohammadpur
=====================================================
Broad gauge steam locomotive WP-7161 "Akbar" hauls a heritage train toward Rewari Jn past Shahabad Mohammadpur in Jan 2016 at its maximum speed and sounding the steam whistle.
In my video you can notice that work is in progress to increase the height of the platforms, which till 2005 catered to metre-gauge trains. The section was re-gauged to broad gauge (1676 mm), first on one line and thereafter on the parallel line. This steam engine is maintained by the Rewari Steam Loco shed.

Conversion of 1,000 mm metre gauge to 5 ft 6 in (1,676 mm) broad gauge started in 1990. The Delhi–Rewari railway line had double metre-gauge tracks and one of the tracks was converted to broad gauge in December 1992 as a part of conversion of Ajmer–Delhi line. The parallel metre gauge line was retained, and the second line's conversion was deferred in order to maintain meter gauge link between Delhi and Bikaner and between Delhi and Udaipur stations till 2004-2005; and then executed. In 2019-2020 the route was fully electrified with 25 kV AC traction.
