Mr Ang is the walking definition of living history. His art studio acts as a colourful ode to Singapore, with pots of emulsion and ongoing artworks capturing the country’s history as he sees it: full of life, stories and the sacrifices made from leaders and tradesman alike to make Singapore what it is today.

As an artist who has watched Singapore transform from kampong to first world, his latest work includes a patriotic 50 piece tribute to Singapore’s history. “I saw how Minister Lee grew our country into a beautiful place. I like to draw scenery and landscape of Singapore in the olden times. In Singapore we have talent. I draw about the arts and culture in Singapore because I want Singaporeans to see it and let them know Singapore is artistic and stylish.”
