The natural affinity between dark chocolate and red wine is no secret. The Red Wine and Chocolate event weekend — February 17th – 19th in the Yakima Valley — provides a distinctive and elegant offering of fine chocolate and fine wine. Visit the more than 40 wineries in Yakima Valley Wine Country during this Presidents’ Day weekend. Each winery pairs sumptuous chocolate desserts with their very own remarkable red wines.

Wine Yakima Valley is inviting wine and chocolate enthusiasts to its annual Red Wine & Chocolate event weekend. As the oldest wine growing region in Washington state, wineries from Yakima, Zillah, Prosser and Red Mountain will be offering a weekend of divine decadence with the Premier Pass, the only way to experience the depth of the Yakima Valley during Red Wine & Chocolate weekend.

Purchase a PREMIER PASS allowing access to exclusive benefits available only during this Red Wine and Chocolate weekend at over 40 participating wineries. PREMIER PASS holders will be able to experience a variety of specialty food pairings, library tastings, and tours not available to the public.

Passes purchased through February 7 will be shipped to you at the shipping address you provide during checkout beginning February 8.

Passes purchased after February 7 will be available for pick-up during the event weekend at the location selected during checkout.

ONLINE PREMIER PASS SALES END at 8:00am Thursday, February 15.

*PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN GLASS. Wineries cannot provide glasses during large event weekends.

Premier Passes are available for $35 at the door at select wineries during the event weekend. PASSES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

♥AntoLin Cellars – Fill your senses with complimentary chocolate dipped treat for all. Enjoy a flight of white wines for $4 or $6 for a flight of red wines. Premier Pass holders receive complimentary wine tastings. Enjoy the fine art of Becky Melcher and live Naughty Sweethearts from 7-9pm Friday and Jez Slowe performs from Noon until Close on Saturday. Larson Gallery Guild’s “Tryst” Jewelry show will be in the Caboose Room: 11am – 5pm. Event tastings available daily 10am- 5pm.

♥Gilbert Cellars – Experience the weekend of love and wine with Gilbert Cellars and Crafted at our downtown tasting room on historic North Front Street. Enjoy a $10 “Perfect Pair” Tasting, featuring select red wines with handcrafted truffles & chocolates! “Perfect Pair” Tasting fee is waived with Premier Pass or a 2-bottle purchase. Replenish your cellar with handcrafted, swoon-worthy wines by picking up 6 or more bottles at a 10% discount. Stop by on Saturday at 1 pm for an extended pairing with a coffee tasting from Basalt Roasters while supplies last. After a long day of wine tastings stop into Crafted for the Chefs Tasting Menu, paired course by course with Gilbert Cellars wines. Hours: Saturday 1-9, Sunday 1-6, Monday 1-7. PASS SALES

♥Kana Winery – We are pouring our newest vintage of award winning wines. 2011 Workingman’s Red (Best Buy) and 2013 Old Vines, both awarded with a Platinum medal from WinePress NW. 2012 Tempranillo received a Double Gold from WinePress Northwest. ♥Owen Roe – Enjoy JCOCO Chocolate out of Seattle paired with delicious red wine. Their remarkable culinary inspired chocolates are the perfect match for our red wines. Tasting fee of $10 is waived for club members and Premier Pass holders. For more information call 509-877-0454. Hours 11-5pm
