ABC Bees Collaborative Purchase of Nucleus Colonies: 10 Years

The Community Hive Collaborative Purchase of Honey Bees started in 2010 as a way for local beekeepers to get their hands on locally bred bees and queens in the spring. We have been working with Bill Stagg of Sweetacre Apiaries in Tappen, BC through micro-loaning the cost of the bees months in advance of their arrival in support of his responsible and sustainable apiary management and queen breeding programs. Throughout the years Sweetacre Apiaries and ABC Bees have grown hand-in-hand, family next to family. Friends for life and offering quality queens and bees to Albertans and other beekeepers in BC and Manitoba throughout the years. Learn more about the program.
