Oldsmobile entered the 1950s following a divisional image campaign centered on its 'Rocket' engines and its cars' appearance followed suit. Oldsmobile's Rocket V8 engine was the leader in performance; its cars were generally considered the fastest on the market; and by the mid-1950's their styling was among the first to offer a wide, ''open maw'' grille, suggestive of jet propulsion.

We just got in a great example of those 1950's Olds cars... This beautiful 1956 Oldsmobile 88 with a frame off restoration completed around 2008. Done in two tone Coral and White with a coral interior. Has a 324 CI Rocket V8 engine under the hood with an automatic transmission.
