Crystal Mountain | Chair 6 (Ride Up and Ski Down) [Low Snow Conditions]

Описание к видео Crystal Mountain | Chair 6 (Ride Up and Ski Down) [Low Snow Conditions]

Chair 6 was installed in 2014, replacing the previous lift known as High Campbell. This older lift was originally installed at Yodelin Ski Bowl, but moved to Crystal Mountain as High Campbell in 1976. After an avalanche in March 2014 completely destroyed the lower half of the lift, High Campbell was forced to be removed and scrapped. Chair 6 is a Skytrac double chair, one of only two in existence, and the only lift to use Skytrac double chairs. The other Skytrac double is Stagecoach at Big Sky, however, the only Skytrac parts of the lift are the terminals and one tower, as the lift's original installation began in 2008, but was completed by Skytrac almost 10 years later after the original resort, Moonlight Basin, went bankrupt. Chair 6 turns 10 years old this year, marking a decade since the avalanche. Chances are, this lift will be around for a long time.

Also featured in this video is the skiing off the summit. As you can see in the video, it is quite risking for the skis, with all the rocks and obstacles along the wind-blown ridge top, and down the ridge.
