Treating Trauma with Transference: A Two-Person Therapy Model | Dr Frank Yeomans

Описание к видео Treating Trauma with Transference: A Two-Person Therapy Model | Dr Frank Yeomans

Frank Yeomans describes the difference between a one-person and a two-person psychology approach to treatment of PTSD and personality disorders, and how the two models extend to life beyond therapy.

The therapist's ability to get in touch with the patient's split-off feelings and understand them (as they are evoked within the therapist as countertransference) is key in effectively treating complex disorders using the TFP model.

Includes an example of a patient who had survived being a child soldier before entering therapy.
