A powerful runner with good speed and fluidity for his size. Muncie was productive for the Saints despite the team losing consistently. He was traded to the Chargers in 1980 and was the final piece for the Air Coryell Offense. He scored a then record 19 rushing touchdowns in 1981 and for his career had over 6,700 rushing yards and 74 touchdowns. Was also a 3x Pro Bowler.
