Braided Leather Cuff | Making a Mystery Braid Leather Bracelet From Reclaimed Materials

I made a leather cuff bracelet using reclaimed leather. I weaved the mystery braid for this one!

The Process:
This project started with a leather purse my sister had as a kid. I decided to reclaim the purse and make something that she could wear out of it. I first took the purse and removed the stitches. I decided to go with the lower part of the purse since it had the least amount of wear. Once I had the leather piece, I used some thick paper and an iron to smooth out the creases and warping in the leather. I then used a sharp knife and cut the piece to size adding rounded ends and holes for the hardware. I then cut two parallel lines down the center creating three equal strands. I weaved the strands using a method I found online. I included a link to the video below. I finished it off with crimp style snaps which you can purchase on Amazon (Link below as well).
