Delivery of the M12 Motorway comprises:

a 16-kilometre, four-lane motorway between the M7 at Cecil Hills and The Northern Road at Luddenham
our interchanges, one with the existing M7 Motorway, at Western Sydney Airport, at Elizabeth Drive and at the airport entry via the new M12 Airport Access Road
new bridges across Ropes Creek, Kemps Creek, South Creek, Badgerys Creek, Cosgrove Creek and several roads including Clifton Avenue, Elizabeth Drive, Range Road, Luddenham Road, and Wallgrove Road, and
other works including access roads, control centre facilities, and pedestrian and cycling links.
The M7-M12 Integration project will support future development growth in Western Sydney by improving travel times and congestion. Once complete, the project will provide direct access to commercial and residential hubs, and the new Western Sydney International Airport.
Construction of the project is expected to take three years and will be open to traffic in 2026. Construction of the Elizabeth Drive Connection and M7-M12 Interchange commenced in August 2023 and construction of the M7 Widening commenced in October 2023.
The M12 Motorway will have a continuous shared path stretching from the M7 Motorway in the east to The Northern Road in the west to provide the community with a unique experience as they cycle and walk.

In the spirit of healthy communities, the M12 shared path has been designed to connect with existing and future shared user path networks while also celebrating local heritage and culture by featuring interpretation nodes at six major points.

Each reflecting one of the Western Sydney Aboriginal seasons, these nodes will provide a small sanctuary for people to stop, rest and learn about the local heritage. The shared path will also incorporate artwork, indigenous planting, wayfinding and education signage for all to enjoy.
