Powering and connecting the ESP8266 WiFi module to your Arduino, flashing the unit with the AT firmware and basic use of the AT commands. The ESP module is a versatile 802.11 b/g/n WiFi module which can be used in AP mode as a webserver or in STA mode as a wireless client. With a minimum of 2 general purpose I/O ports which support Pulse Width Modulation, a variety of sensors and relays can be read/controlled making this unit ideal for many applications such as weather station, baby monitor, wearable electronics etc. and all for around the price of a pint of beer!
