Romania will host a professional snooker tournament for the first time when the new European Masters world ranking event takes place in Bucharest.

The tournament will run from January 3rd to 9th in 2018. The event will be promoted by McCann/Thiess for the next three years. There will be 32 players at the final venue, with the qualifying rounds to be held in Preston in September.
