🧩 Activity Setup: "Find the Hidden Object"

Roles:

1. Blindfolded Person – Can move and act but can’t see or speak.

2. Speaker – Can speak but can’t see the blindfolded person.

3. Silent Actor – Can see the blindfolded person but cannot speak; can only use gestures or facial expressions to communicate with the speaker.

Goal:
The blindfolded person has to find the hidden object using verbal instructions given by the speaker (who is guided by the silent actor’s gestures).

🗣️ Useful Phrases for the Speaker (Giving Instructions)

🔁 Starting the Instructions

“Okay, let's begin. Take one small step forward.”
“Start moving slowly.”
“Can you hear me properly?”

🧭 Direction-Related Phrases

“Turn slightly to your left/right.”
“Take two steps back.”
“Walk straight for three steps.”
“Bend a little.”
“Turn around.”
“Face the opposite direction.”

✋ Speed and Caution

“Go slowly, there’s something in front.”
“Stop right there.”
“Pause for a second.”
“Don’t rush.”
“Be careful, move gently.”

🧍 Positioning and Adjustment

“Stretch your hand forward.”
“Lower your hand a bit.”

Silent Actor (Non-verbal Communicator)

Some expressive gestures like:

👍 = Yes / Correct
👎 = No / Wrong
✋ = Stop

🙆‍♀️ = Keep going


Demo Script:

Characters:

Aman – Blindfolded (Follower)

Riya – Can give instructions but cannot see (Speaker)

Karan – Can see but cannot speak (Silent Actor)

Script Begins

[Object placed on the floor in one corner of the room. Aman is blindfolded. Riya is facing the opposite wall. Karan stands in between, watching Aman and using actions to guide Riya.]

Riya (Speaker):
"Okay Aman, can you hear me?"

Aman (Blindfolded):
(Nods or says "Yes")

Riya:
"Great. Take one small step forward... yes, just like that."

Karan (gestures “little more”)
\[Waves hand forward to indicate “more”]

Riya:
"Take two more steps forward... yes... now stop."

Karan (points left)

Riya:
"Now turn slightly to your left."

Karan (raises both hands and shows “go forward” gesture)

Riya:
"Walk straight for three steps. Slowly… good job!"

Karan (shows downward hand gesture + makes “pick up” action)

Riya:
"Now bend down carefully… stretch your right hand forward."

Riya:
"Yes… you’re almost there. Feel around."

Aman (touches object)

Riya:
"Yes! You did it! You found the object!"
