Taking a slight step to the left with a jazz funk entry from the son of jazz legend Thelonius Monk. TS joined his father on tour band until 1975 when dad officially retired. He honed his songwriting and playing skills and released his first LP, "House Of Music" that contained his biggest hit "Bon Bon Vie (Gimme The Good Life)", but was unable to duplicate that feat on subsequent recordings. After his father and sister died, he founded the Thelonius Monk Institute of Jazz, which aids music education and after school athletic programs across the US. He still records today in a decidedly traditional jazz environment. The TS stands for Thelonius Sphere.....
