In TallyPrime Release 3.0 or later releases, when you want to update a party's Registration Type, GSTIN, or other such details, you can do so using New Effective Date, which ensures that the details get applicable only from the date you provide.

Moreover, you also have the facility to view GST Registration Details (History), which helps you know the history of updates made in the party's GST Registration Details, along with the date of the update.
