How to Remove and Install a Right Front Strut on a 2007 Chevy Equinox, All Steps Shown in Detail

Welcome to my YouTube channel. Today's video shows removing and installing a right front strut on a 2007 Chevy Equinox NAPA part number LS67198. I am working on the following video, which shows how to remove and install the left strut. Due to the length of this video, I decided to make two instead of combining both struts into one video. Nevertheless, the principle is the same for either side.

1. From 00:00 to 01:47, the right front of the Chevy Equinox is lifted with a floor jack, a jack stand is slid under the subframe, and the right front tire and wheel are removed.
2. From 01:48 to 02:30, a close-up of the broken coil spring is shown, and all bolts and nuts that need to be removed are sprayed with PB Blaster.
3. From 02:31 to 06:18, the upper stabilizer bar nut and, eventually, the stabilizer link is freed from the strut.
4. From 06:19 to 07:21, the lower strut nuts are removed, and the ABS sensor wire is unplugged.
5. From 07:22 to 08:11, the bolt that secures the brake flex hose to the strut is removed.
6. From 08:12 to 09:54, the lower strut bolts are removed, and the steering knuckle is turned out of the way.
7. From 09:55 to 12:02, the upper strut bolts and strut are removed from the Chevy Equinox.
8. From 12:03 to 12:58, the new strut NAPA part number LS57198 is unboxed and compared to the old strut to ensure its fitment.
9. From 12:59 to 15:41, the new upper bolts and strut are installed and tightened to 29 foot-pounds.
10. From 15:42 to 16:49, the steering knuckle is installed into the strut, and the lower strut bolts are installed.
11. From 16:50 to 18:42, the lower strut nuts are installed and tightened to 97 foot-pounds.
12. From 18:43 to 19:34, the ABS sensor wire is plugged in, and the bolt holding the brake flex hose to the strut is tightened.
13. From 19:35 to 20:58, the stabilizer link is attached back to the strut.
14. From 20:59 to 22:45, the tire and wheel are installed, the jack stand is removed, and the Chevy Equinox is left back down to the garage floor.
