SONY Interactive Entertainment Evolution from 1993-2023

In this video, we will travel to the 90s to uncover the History of the top-rated Sony Interactive Entertainment Company. Every gamer knows that Sony Interactive Entertainment is the creator of PlayStation but does everyone know the actual History and Creation of this popular gaming console?

The Playstation One was the very first gaming console that Sony came out with, and it was first released in Japan on December 1994 and was later released in the United States on July 1995. The Playstation 2 was released just 5 years later. Japan was the first to have the console in March 2000 and United States on October 2000. Sony Interactive Entertainment, in a business meeting in Tokyo, Japan on March 2006, the company announced the online network, PlayStation Network, that would be integrated with the Playstation 3, released on May 2006, and the PSP, released in October 2009. As many of you know the PSP was way ahead of its time that the portable console didn't really become too popular, making Sony steer away from developing these types of devices further. Nearly 7 years later, the release of the Playstation 4 was announced, this time North America being the first to get these consoles, on November 15, 2013, and on November 25, 2013, for the rest of the countries. Another 7 years later, the release of, the very hard-to-get, Playstation 5 was released on November 2020.
