An Introduction to Color Theory for Photographers

Color theory is important to understand when you want to make great color photographs that will capture people’s attention. Using color well in photos is often overlooked as photographers focus mostly on their subject, composition, and timing. Each time you take a photo you are best to be aware of the colors in your composition and how they relate to each other.

There are 3 unique aspects of color:
1- Hue
2- Value
3- Saturation
