Likely the most unique build at Diesel Nationals was Larry Strawn's 1931 Model A sitting on a 1997 Dodge powertrain. Larry and his wife made the long haul from Redding California to compete in the 10.90 class at the NHRDA World Finals. With a 5.9L Cummins out front, 64/82mm turbo pushing 85lbs of boost, RE47 auto trans with manual valve body, 4WD and 4-link, this thing is nasty, and so easy on the eyes.
Larry has owned this Model A 45 years, recently converted it to the diesel you see today, and still drives it around town often. Talk about one heck of a cool ride to have in the garage!
